The Parsons Animal Rescue Foundation was established with the intention of providing horses with a second chance at a beautiful life. We work in collaboration with organizations like the Alberta SPCA, as well as other local rescues, to find and obtain neglected/abused horses who are in need of physical, mental and emotional healing.
Our goal is to heal the scars caused by mankind, train the horses to be safe and well rounded members of the herd and eventually help them find their forever homes. We advocate for the treatment and well being of our equine partners and fight to end Alberta’s shameful secret of live horse transport overseas for human consumption.
The foundation was created for and named after a very important person to us. Someone who emulates kindness and empathy on a regular basis and reminds us that a life lived for others is a life worth living.
